What's New in This
Version
SITESPLUS
2008.1
The following items have been changed for this version
of SITESPLUS 2008.1:
July 21, 2010
The Internet -> Look for New Downloads
command would sometimes cause a program crash instead of providing a list of
available files.
Most graphics windows displaying store numbers (for example, Data Map),
will no longer display stores that have been closed.
May 28, 2010
An error has caused SITESPLUS to sometimes produce inconsistant
population and potential totals on certain reports. The errors were
generally very small (less than 1%), but confusing. This error has
been corrected.
March 7, 2010
The maximum number of leakage conversions to a single store has been
raise to 20. The previous limit was 10.
November 9, 2009
A memory l;eakage has been discovered and sealed. This could cause
unpredictable behavior, including program crashes, and corrupted default
settings.
August 6, 2009
Two changes have been made.
1. The Update SITESPLUS command
from the Internet menu did not always work. It was not always able to
find the correct Internet location. This was also true for some of the
other Internet commands. All of the SITESPLUS Internet commands should
now work properly.
2. In the Store Data sheet, when the [Calc]
button was pressed, SITESPLUS would perform the calculations, but the mouse
cursor was not located back in the data sheet correctly. This has been
corrected.
June 18, 2009
If one or more reports have been generated with a medium to large model,
and the City/Address option is toggled to the "Show on Second Line",
SITESPLUS might crash as the open reports are regenerated. This would
only happen with certain reports and models exceeding 17 stores.
April 16, 2009
Under certain, very specific conditions, SITESPLUS might ignore some
manual powers in a model.
March 19, 2009
The Current Chain Sales report had an incomplete heading that should have
read "Market Share", but only read "Market."
February 24, 2009
Under very particular circumstances (rare) SITESPLUS would ignore
segmentation data in a model in order to take a faster shortcut on the
calculations. The program has been taught to avoid that shortcut more
appropriately.
January 30, 2009
If you generated the Store Market Shares report specifying a
neighborhood, and you are reporting effective powers, the report average
power was not always correct.
Clicking on the [New] icon to
start a new project would sometimes cause SITESPLUS to crash.
If you were using the segmentation system and had several stores with
assigned formats, then used the store data sheet to add a new store, under
some circumstances the format assignments could become incorrectly assigned.
January 7, 2009
Under some circumstances, where the default segmentation definitions were
missing or could not be found, a project file could be opened without the
correct store format definitions. Also, after changing the
segmentation matrix for the project, the [BA]
and [CA] lights were not always
illuminated.
December 22, 2008
Some of the graphic maps would, under some circumstances, allow more than
one copy of the same data sheet to be open at the same time. For
example, you could end up with two store data sheets open at the same time,
with one of them covering the other completely. In this case you would
not even know that you had two sheets open until you closed one. This
would lead to sync problems This problem has been fixed.
The List | Projection | Store Changes
report has been altered so that if you ask for the report for a specific
neighborhood, the market shares will now be shown for the entire trade area,
not just the neighborhood. For technical reasons this change was
necessary to prevent erroneous MS reporting and totals.
November 18, 2008
If you produced the Projected Chain report, asked for the "Current" form
(not projected) and your model had one or more stores that used a loyalty
factor higher than 100, the sales figures may have been shown incorrectly.
The error has been fixed.
October 27, 2008
The sector form of the market share table had an
incorrect market share grand total in the lower right corner. That has
been corrected.
October 16, 2008
Most chain reports were missing the "Others" line
which summarized stores not assigned to chains. That error has been
fixed.
October 15, 2008
The Model Review command is now using a superior
algorithm to review the PWTAs (draws) of stores in the model.
October 8, 2008
The settings dialog has been given yellow "balloon"
tips for every field to make it easier to understand what each setting
represents.
October 1, 2008
The settings dialog, both for the current project and
for all defaults, has had yellow tool tips added to each of the data fields
and buttons. This should make it easier to remember what each setting
does.
September 29, 2007
The number of chains permitted in one project has been
raised from 20 to a maximum of 40.
A new report option allows you to choose between
displaying a store's power, or displaying it "effective power" on reports.
"Effective power" is the power that results from the store's power value,
plus the added effects of any manual powers or segmentation data. You
can access that switch with the Settings -> All
Projects command.
September 22, 2008
The strategic mapping area of SITESPLUS 2008.1 would
sometimes not be able to find the Unique ID sector field in the MapInfo
field and would no longer perform the mapping. This error has been
corrected, and all strategic mapping should now function correctly.
July 21, 2008
Errors were corrected in the Store Data sheet and the
Sector Data sheet. After using the new [View] command, columns
were not always reset correctly. Also, an error in the new OtherGQ
data field was corrected. This error could have caused crashes in the
program.
July 17, 2008
The store and sector data sheets will now allow you to
choose between five different font sizes. You can access these choices
by opening the data sheet, then clicking on the [View] command.
This change should allow many users to view more columns at one time.
July 15, 2008
The store and sector edit sheets will now warn you if
you have the same ID used on more than one row of the data sheet.
July 9, 2008
Several modifications were made to the Model Check
command in order to provide better estimates and to also display the current
values of suspicious items.
July 8, 2008
The List Sales Changes report, when using
neighborhoods, would calculate total markets shares based on the entire
trade area instead of just the neighborhood sectors. This error has
been corrected.
A new sector data column has been added to the sector
data sheet. The old "Group" column has been renamed to "Student GQ",
and the column is "Other GQ". This is an attempt to add more
flexibility in reporting group quarter counts, and to add to the accuracy of
PCW calculations. You will also find that the PCW dialog box will
allow you to use your own desired percentage for calculating the "Other GQ"
PCWs.
