POSITION TITLE: Sales Account Executive REPORTING

client is a rapidly growing provider of retail performance modeling, sales
forecasting and location solutions using highly effective web-enabled real-time
analytical tools. In addition, the
company provides leading-edge lifestyle segmentation, desktop analytics and
economic forecasting solutions. Clients
include major retailers, franchise operations, real estate developers and
financial services organizations. The
company is considered a key SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reporting directly to the company’s Vice President of Sales the Account Executive will be responsible for developing new retail oriented client business, maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships, and consultative selling. Key responsibilities will include: · Strategic Prospecting—developing an effective method for identifying prospects (analyzing and segmenting the market, understanding how our client’s solutions are positioned relative to the competition) and initiating the sales process. · Lead Generation/Prospect Qualification—maintaining a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects. ·
Product Knowledge/Strategic
Partnering—being well-versed in our client’s products, and providing
thought leadership and consultation as well as strategic partnering and
solutions to prospects and clients BACKGROUND REQUIRED:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of business development/sales experience, in either direct/data-driven marketing. The individual must have a successful track record of consultative selling and client relationship building in large, complex strategic sales situations. At least some concentration in geo-demograhics relating to the retail or restaurant industries would be highly desirable. The ability to travel extensively will be necessary.
